Criticism on Anglo-saxon period of English Literature

This was the first age in History of English Literature which started after coming Angles, Juted and Saxon tribes in Britain called Anglo-Saxons. Later on they become Christians by religion. Latin works translated into English by only Alfred the Great who introduced literature translations to old English. This era was mostly all about warrior kind of writing and oral literature and poetical work. Literary concepts develoled by Christianity when it came into them by Saint Augustine. It was the era of chronicle and wars related literary works. So it was the era of starting English Literature where Caedmon, Cynewulf, Bede, Alfred the Great and later on Alferic wrote the famous literature based on oral, translation, poetical and historical literature.
